The mission is to build digital and AI-first data products and analytical assets that enhance both customer experience and employee experience across Verizon's customer service teams. Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of scalable, end-to-end ETL data pipelines with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Hands-on data ingestion, curation, and product delivery using SQL, Python, and GCP native tools (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Spanner). Leverage experience with diverse data ecosystems (e.g., Teradata, Hadoop) for broader architectural insights. Maintain the quality and integrity of critical data pipelines. Develop high-quality code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using cutting-edge technology. Program components, develop features and frameworks; work independently and with cross-functional teams. Participate in design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions. Analyze problems, break down statements, and provide solutions; take ownership of large tasks, deliver on time, and mentor teammates. Explore alternate technologies and approaches to solve problems. Apply an agile-based approach to delivering data products. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience Six or more years of relevant experience demonstrated through work, military experience, or specialized training Hands-on experience designing and building data pipelines using NiFi, Airflow, or Apache Beam in GCP (Dataproc and BigQuery) for ETL Experience in data warehousing, data lakes, and big data platforms Strong leadership, communication, persuasion, and collaboration skills Nice to have

Programming experience with GCP tools such as Dataproc, Cloud Shell SDK, Cloud Composer, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery Experience deploying data products and ML models in production with data engineers, architects, data scientists, and enterprise platform teams Experience with Hadoop clusters and tools (HDFS, PIG, Hive, Sqoop, Spark, Oozie) Hands-on experience with real-time solutions using Apache Beam with Dataflow, Spark, or Flink Experience with real-time data streaming technologies (Google Pub/Sub, Apache Kafka) Knowledge of serialization formats (Avro, Parquet, Protobuf) Experience with advanced transformations and windowing in real-time processing Experience with Google Dataflow templates and Google Data Catalog Experience with at least one NoSQL database (HBase, Cassandra, Couchbase) and one relational database (Oracle, MySQL, Teradata) Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab) GCP/AWS cloud certifications; familiarity with Large Language Models and Generative AI tools Employment details

Salary varies by location and experience. This is an incentive-based role with potential to earn more. Full-time annual salary range for the listed locations: $120,500.00 - $231,000.00.
