The role involves working with event and conference planners, providing expertise for tour groups, corporate events, and detailed conferences while maintaining strong organization, proactivity, and interpersonal skills. The Conference Services Manager is responsible for selling hotel services, guiding the planning process, staying knowledgeable about hotel operations and external vendor requirements, and ensuring seamless onsite guest experiences by communicating event logistics across departments and enforcing the terms of the sales agreement. Responsibilities
Negotiate with clients through creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals to maximize revenue and fulfill contractual responsibilities while satisfying client needs. Coordinate with Sales and Catering teams to optimize function space usage, facilitate room details with Reservations, and collaborate with Finance on estimates and billing. Finalize confirmed bookings, maximize revenue through upselling, maintain effective written and verbal communication with all departments, and sustain an active trace/follow-up system. Supervise banquet events, review function space with the banquet manager or head house attendant as needed, ensure client satisfaction at the start of events, and seek opportunities for repeat bookings. Ensure accuracy with banquet checks and provide bill review after programs or events. Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have previous Banquets or Catering experience; experience within the Rooms Division is a plus. Strong phone and customer service skills are required, along with knowledge of cloud-based technology. Excellent English communication skills are required; other language skills are a plus.
