Analyze business requirements to design efficient mainframe solutions, identifying opportunities to enhance systems functionality and efficiency. Develop, modify, and maintain processes built on Cobol, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM and MQ Series ensuring high-quality and optimized code. Collaborate with other developers and infrastructure teams to integrate systems and applications. Diagnose and resolve technical issues in mainframe applications, providing support to ensure stability and minimal downtime. This includes monitoring systems performance and making adjustments as necessary. Conduct unit and integration testing to validate functionality and ensure solutions meet requirements, using best practices for quality assurance to prevent defects. Maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, coding standards, and systems configurations, to ensure comprehensive knowledge transfer and continuity. Work closely with other IT teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and communicate project status, technical challenges, and solutions. Continuously improve and optimize mainframe applications to ensure they perform optimally under heavy usage. Requirements

5-7 + years of experience in mainframe development, with a focus on CICS and MQ-driven CICS background processing. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. Experience working and coordinating work in global multi-cultural environment. Experience in Cobol, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS MQ and CICS for development and maintenance of mainframe applications. Ability to write efficient, optimized code that minimizes resource usage and enhances application performance. Knowledge of tuning database queries, optimizing batch jobs and maintaining workload in a high-performance environment. Strong analytical skills to dissect complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Proactive approach to identifying potential problems and implementing preventive solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience writing clear, detailed documentation. Skilled in communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders and collaborating effectively within teams. High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in coding, testing, documentation development, and project coordination. Nice To Have Attributes

Certifications in mainframe programing, project management (e.g., PMP), or SDLC methodologies are a plus. Knowledge of test automation tools or frameworks to reduce manual testing. Experience with banking applications, including support for Global Controllers, Treasury Services, and General Ledger functions, is a plus. Salary Range

$110,000 - $160,000 BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
