Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. 8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) or 5 years with a Master’s degree. Help serve Google’s worldwide user base. Data Scientists provide quantitative support, market understanding and a strategic perspective to partners. You will use data to help teams make better decisions, convey insights effectively, and propose recommendations for product development. The Cloud Data Science team aims to empower Google Cloud Business Platform with data-driven insights to drive scale and efficiency and improve the customer journey. We partner with stakeholders across Cloud and collaborate with Data Platform and Infrastructure teams to scale insights. Google Cloud accelerates organizations’ ability to digitally transform and provides enterprise-grade solutions. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 plus bonus, equity and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, with location and other factors (skills, experience, education) affecting final compensation. Perform analysis using tools such as SQL, R, and Python; tackle open-ended business problems and translate results into actionable insights. Develop processes, methods, tests, and components to address future needs. Report on KPIs to inform leadership reviews; translate analysis into business insights or product improvement opportunities. Prototype analyses and business cases at scale; develop knowledge of Google data structures and advocate for data-driven product decisions. Influence across teams to align resources and direction.
