Overview
Development Manager - Construction Manager Training at Nudura Insulated Concrete Forms. The CM Development Manager leads and manages all aspects of the CM Associate program, developing Construction Management Associates for rapid advancement into Construction Manager positions. This role creates a program curriculum to enhance roofing and contractor safety knowledge, technical roofing expertise, and roofing field-related tasks and processes, and familiarizes the CM Associate with existing WTI construction processes and procedures. The position evaluates candidates for entry into the program and advancement within the program and helps develop relationships with Construction Management programs to create a pipeline for future CM Associates across regions. Responsibilities
Create a technical roofing curriculum using Tremco University classes and set a schedule for CM Associates to progress through technical education. Develop a process within existing estimating guidelines for CM Associates to prepare material-only line items and small PR work; establish timelines and review with Estimating Leadership. Act as a liaison between WTI Leadership, corporate, and sales to gather feedback and improve the program design and initiatives. Strategize and manage the CM Associate pipeline based on WTI resource needs; work with leadership to implement resources to support growth. Assess daily operations for crisis management, safety, and escalation protocols; determine solutions to project issues (field tasks, process questions, workload balance, job site conditions, etc.). Travel to job sites as needed to support CM Associates and schedule onsite training regionally. Cross-collaborate with Commercial Construction CM Associates to educate on non-roofing tasks (estimating, e-Builder, process, etc.). Facilitate resources for daily operations and address employee concerns with HR or WTI management; ensure documentation is submitted to HR. Act as an agent of change, adapting quickly to changing business priorities; establish clear strategic direction and targets for the CM Associate team. Promote teamwork and excellence across regions and the organization; communicate and implement company policies and procedures within the program. Perform additional duties as directed by the Director, WTI Roofing. Qualifications & Experience
7+ years in a results-oriented leadership role for a regional, cross-functional team within the building construction industry. Experience leading staff in remote multi-state locations. Proven ability to drive extraordinary results through accountability and leadership. Experience defining expectations, articulating ideas clearly, and giving timely feedback. Proven experience setting strategy and plans for business growth; ability to work across departments to support regional compliance and profitability. Hands-on experience with field construction in roofing, including line-item pricing, safety, estimating, general contracting procedures, warranties, and quality assurance. Other Skills & Abilities
Understanding of contract management and processes. Intermediate financial data and math skills (statistics, business metrics, gross margin, operating income, cost management). Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present professionally. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to create plans, measure results, and analyze outcomes. Strong problem-resolution skills and ability to communicate with diverse personality types. Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe; comfortable using technology for company tasks. Travel up to 50% (seasonally), to locations within the US; possible international travel.
