As a Data Scientist at Meta, you will shape the future of people-facing and business-facing products across our family of applications (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Oculus). You will apply your technical skills, analytical mindset, and product intuition to a rich data set to help define experiences for billions of people and hundreds of millions of businesses. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, Research, Data Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and more. You will use data and analysis to identify and solve product development challenges, influence product strategy and investments, and drive impact. Responsibilities

Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using various analytical and statistical approaches Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and data presentation to develop strategies for products serving billions of people and hundreds of millions of businesses Identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring key product metrics to understand trends Define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve the product, and drive roadmaps through insights and recommendations Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant field, or equivalent 4+ years of experience in analytics, data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting (e.g., Python), and/or statistical software (e.g., R); Ph.D. holders may have 2+ years 4+ years solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches, understanding ecosystems, user behaviors, and long-term product trends; experience leading data-driven projects from definition to execution Preferred Qualifications
