Overview Company Planning is a critical team within Gap, Inc. Finance that delivers sound financial analysis and targets that are the foundation for optimal decision making leading to profitable growth for a brand and Gap, Inc. The team anchors tops-down decisions pertaining to sales, margin and inventory for a brand across retail and online channels and multiple geographies.

What You’ll Do

Lead the annual development of sales, gross margin, and inventory budgets, as well as long-range plans at the country and retail channel level. Collaborate with business partners to align long-term plans with channel, experience, tech and product strategies.

Oversee the development of financial models and forecasts to support annual strategic planning and ongoing planning to drive profitability. Clearly communicate risks and opportunities during milestone meetings to leadership and partners.

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Inventory, Marketing and Sourcing to influence pre-season and in-season financial planning and execution. Keep partners informed of emerging issues and priorities and ensure information consistency and efficiency.

Lead and mentor a team of planning professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and curiosity.

Demonstrate ongoing functional leadership across the enterprise in support of long-term planning transformation goals.

Who You Are

Comprehensive understanding of the retail industry.

Expert analytical and financial modeling skills (including P&L) with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights; 10+ years of experience in Finance and/or Planning (Merchandise or Company/Business Planning preferred).

High level of accountability with bias for action; thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to tailor messages to varied audiences (including executives) and influence outcomes.

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a track record of driving growth by turning insights into action.

Integrity, emotional intelligence, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Experience forecasting consumer KPIs (traffic, SOT, conversion, UPT, etc.) using reconciled data from partners, macro conditions, and company goals.

Proficiency in strategic planning and forecasting tools; Anaplan experience is a plus.

Salary Range: $202,700 - $278,800 USD
