Our Commitment to Employees Training and Career Development Program to provide a learning path with the tools and resources to build your career at Omron Competitive compensation with 401k match, profit sharing, and medical/dental/vision benefits Community Programs and a Matching Gift Program Work-Life Balance with Flexible Work Arrangements and time-off benefits Wellness Programs, including health screenings and related activities Education Assistance Program Responsibilities Design electrical circuits and systems for fixed and mobile robot applications Own designs throughout their lifetime—from concept and requirements to verification, production handoff, and troubleshooting Perform custom circuit design from requirements through simulation, schematic capture, PCB constraints & layout, CPU/FPGA interface, and DfX considerations Prototype, build, bring up, integrate, troubleshoot, and verify designs with multidisciplinary teams Generate and maintain engineering documents such as requirements, interfaces, theory of operation, test plans and reports, release notes, and ECOs Assist with triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and sustaining activities Improve processes and mentor junior engineers Required Qualifications Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor of Science with equivalent experience Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering Experience with circuit design and layout of digital, analog, embedded, and power Proficiency with ORCAD or equivalent Power supply specification, design, and testing experience (3+ years) Experience with power switching elements such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, etc. (3+ years) System-oriented with ability to dive into details Analytical, problem-solver, forward thinker Experience with lab equipment, analysis and simulation tools Ability to work independently and collaboratively with good communication skills Proactive, hands-on, owning responsibilities For compliance, eligibility for required U.S. Government authorization Preferred Qualifications Experience with robotics, motion control or electro-mechanical systems Strong mathematical modeling and simulation skills (e.g., MATLAB) Power electronics understanding (inverters, converters, motor drives) EMC compliance and debugging experience Experience with CPU, FPGA, PLC-based systems Experience with EtherCAT, Ethernet, CAN Bus interfaces and analyzers Working knowledge of embedded software Experience with safety and compliance standards Openness to innovation and process improvements The annual salary range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000 per year, with variation by location, experience, and other factors.
