We are seeking an exceptional Director of Electrical Engineering to lead our innovative engineering team in the development of cutting-edge bioelectronic, implantable medical devices. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional who combines deep technical expertise with outstanding people management skills and a transformational leadership philosophy. Responsibilities

Direct the electrical engineering strategy for next-generation active implantable medical device platforms Oversee design, development, and testing of complex bioelectronic systems comprised of PCB design, stimulation, power management, wireless communication, and sensing technologies Participate in cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, software, and biomedical engineering teams Drive innovation in miniaturization, communication, and power control of implantable systems Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and quality management systems Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers across multiple product development activities Foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that promotes professional growth and innovation Prioritize team member development and career advancement Establish clear technical vision while empowering team members to contribute their expertise Conduct performance evaluations, provide career guidance, and support continuing education initiatives Strategic & Operational Management

Work with R&D leadership to define technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and methodologies Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, and Manufacturing teams throughout product lifecycle Participate in executive reviews and strategic planning sessions Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Master\'s Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred Minimum 20 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in medical device development or similar technological, regulated environments Minimum 10 years of direct people management experience with demonstrated leadership success Proven track record of leading successful concept-to-completion, on-time product development cycles Technical Expertise

Deep understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power management, and RF/Wireless technologies Proficiency in EMC/EMI design considerations Knowledge of medical device regulations (such as FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 14708, ISO 13485, IEC 60601) Familiarity with design controls, risk management (ISO 14971), and verification/validation processes Leadership Competencies

Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences Proven ability to build high-performing teams and foster a collaborative culture Contribute towards and inspire the team to create novel therapy solutions and perform Intellectual Property filing Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure Experience mentoring and developing early-career engineers Preferred Qualifications

Experience with neurostimulation devices, cardiac implants, and/or drug delivery systems Background in circuit design & simulation, PCB assembly, signal processing, embedded software control, advanced control systems Experience with US and International regulatory requirements
