Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive environmental, safety, and health services to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.

Focus on various safety areas, including Confined Spaces, Contractor Safety, Cranes & Slings, Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, Ladder Safety, Machine Guarding, Aerial Lifts, Powered Industrial Trucks, and Raised Platforms & Scaffolding.

Represent the organization at various levels, effectively conveying the company’s strategy and objectives.

Offer leadership and team support to ESH department members.

Who You Are

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, a team mentor/lead and driver of change.

Possess relevant certifications and training in safety and environmental management.

Demonstrate hands-on experience in the specified areas of safety.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Collaborative and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority. ESH experience in a manufacturing/industrial/military setting.

Experience implementing, USDOD, USDOT, NFPA, ASTM, ANSI, OSHA, safety and health standards, EPA, state and local environmental regulations and programs.

Experience with ergonomic principles to improve cultural awareness of the risks associated with improper workstation design and enhance the understanding of proactive measures.

Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Skill in working independently and following through on assignments.

Minimum requirements include, but not limited to, lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 75 lbs, and working from elevated platforms/ladders.

Desired Skills

Professional ESH experience in a manufacturing, test, or industrial environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, and Environmental requirements, regulations and associated compliance programs.

ESH experience in areas such as industrial safety, material handling, NFPA Life Safety Code, lock-out-tag-out, and hazard recognition and other industrial safety programs.

Knowledge and experience with Hazardous Waste shipments, profile management and pertinent documentation for recordkeeping.

Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Ability to ensure regulatory compliance with minimal direct supervision.

Strengths in customer service and cooperative teaming, with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks for timely closure.

Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or other ESH nationally recognized certifications are a plus, but not required.

Other Information

Familiar with F35 (HMMP) Hazardous Materials Management plan.

Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001.

Conducting hazard analyses and risk assessments to support F35 pilot and maintenance training activities.

Work Schedule Information: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of schedules, including standard 40 hours over five days or condensed schedules. The work is onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. This position requires a government security clearance and US citizenship for consideration.
