Overview
A growing food manufacturer is seeking an EHS Manager to manage its main manufacturing facility near San Diego, CA. Working closely with the local leadership and the broader EHS team, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the entire EHS program at the facility, working to minimize safety risks, ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies, and implementing corporate initiatives. The role will have direct reports, and the incumbent must be bilingual in Spanish. The Role
Develop, manage, and implement appropriate health and safety procedures in accordance with federal, state, local, and corporate requirements. Lead continual improvement of the EHS culture, manage OSHA training, and ensure compliance with various environmental permits. Prepare and coordinate all environmental permits, reports, and related requirements for the facility, including wastewater. Participate in detailed incident investigation teams to determine root causes and corrective and preventive actions. The Candidate
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related degree preferred. 5+ years of EHS experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Knowledge of CalOSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory standards. Strong communication skills and ability to engage with employees at all levels. Seniority level
