Overview
Senior Software Engineer – Desktop Application Development (Hybrid Austin) (C#, .net and WPF) We’re seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join our team and drive the development of next-generation desktop applications. This role involves working with modern frameworks and programming languages, driving new feature development, optimizing existing functionality, and ensuring that applications meet performance, scalability, and security standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership skills, deep architectural knowledge, and hands-on experience building applications that integrate with hardware and multimedia systems. Responsibilities
Build and maintain robust desktop applications using modern development frameworks and programming languages. Design and optimize user interfaces with a focus on performance, usability, and maintainability. Integrate software with databases, hardware components, and external systems. Leverage client-server architecture, service interfaces, and communication protocols to expand functionality. Develop scalable applications using modern runtime environments. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years in professional software development with a focus on desktop applications. Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, .NET, .NET Core, WPF, or similar).
Strong understanding of SQL/DB management, communications protocols (TCP, etc.), REST/COM interfaces, and client-server architecture. Strong knowledge of database management, service integration, and client-server systems. Experience with real-time data processing, streaming, or multimedia technologies. Solid understanding of application architecture, threading, and asynchronous programming. Familiarity with UI/UX design best practices. Tools: Experience with Git or similar version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and development toolchains. Job details
