Key responsibilities include overseeing audit planning, execution, and reporting; mentoring staff; reviewing financial statements for accuracy and GAAP compliance; and driving business development through client acquisition and firm marketing within the real estate sector. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management: Act as a primary point of contact for real estate clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to provide value and support their financial and regulatory needs. Audit Engagement Leadership: Lead and manage complex audit engagements for real estate clients, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to professional standards like GAAP and GAAS. Team Management and Mentorship: Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure professional growth and technical expertise. Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on complex accounting and financial reporting issues related to the real estate industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards. Business Development: Collaborate with firm partners and leadership to identify new business opportunities, pursue new clients in the real estate sector, and drive the firm's overall strategy and growth. Quality Assurance: Review and approve audit workpapers, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to professional and regulatory standards. Practice Development: Contribute to internal initiatives to improve audit quality, operational efficiency, and client service, while staying current on emerging accounting and industry developments. Required Skills & Qualifications CPA Certification: A valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a mandatory requirement. Extensive Experience: Significant experience in public accounting with a strong focus on audit services and extensive experience in the real estate industry. Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills. Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of accounting principles (especially GAAP), financial reporting, and industry-specific regulatory requirements for real estate. Seniority level
