Overview
Senior Principal Systems Engineer with MTSI provides technical and programmatic advice and support on a suite of advanced weapon systems, sensors, and computer processing related technologies and programs. This position is located in Beavercreek, OH. Responsibilities
Provide critical technical advisory support to integration planning and implementation for the DAF PEO C3BM Battle Network, requiring collaboration across multiple organizations and lines of effort. Support acquisition activities with emphasis on interoperability strategies for a complex multi-system-of-systems (SoS) information technology architecture; develop SoS matrices; perform integrated SoS assessments; execute the mission engineering process; draft SoS requirements; develop DAF Battle Network architecture; consult with program representatives to evaluate functional requirements and support government officials in approval of acquisition documents; monitor and advise on program execution/integration (e.g., schedule, risks) on behalf of government officials. Provide recommendations on processes and usage of Digital Engineering tools. Support the use of tools such as Cameo, Jira, and Confluence. Provide excellent customer support and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and/or customers; assist in onboarding and offboarding of Mission Integration personnel. Qualifications
15+ years of relevant work experience supporting cross-functional teams across an enterprise, combination system of systems. Experience working on classified and special access programs. Must be located within commuting distance of Wright-Patterson AFB, OH to support in-person attendance needs. 5+ years of experience with digital engineering and modern model-based technologies (MBSE, MBD, MBDEF, MBDMI, etc.). Knowledge and experience in Agile/Scrum teams, including daily standups, retrospectives, demos/reviews; experience with Jira and Confluence. Experience with system of systems analysis, requirements development, and requirements documentation. Experience with modern architecture frameworks and designs. High level of motivation with a proven track record of ownership and responsibility for projects; ability to multi-task and respond to quick-turnaround requests; produce quality products with minimal oversight. Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to develop clear, concise, and logically written business communications and deliver recommendations. Proven effectiveness working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment. Ability to build strong relationships to leverage information and insights across key groups; strong leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. Desired Requirements
20+ years of relevant technical experience. Experience with or knowledge of Homeland Defense concepts, C2 systems, Integrated Air Defense, and Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) systems. Experience with or knowledge of C-UAS systems, both kinetic and non-kinetic. Experience working on-site in a government client environment. Knowledge of the Air Force Research Laboratory's framework, directives, and policies. Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant discipline. Master’s in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant discipline (highly desired). Clearance Requirements
Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with SCI and SAR eligibility Seniority level
