About the Role This is a strategic and operationally critical role to enable the Business Technology group with reliable and predictable hosting platforms that underpin Grocery Outlet's ERP, store facing applications, Business Analytics, and many others. The role will be a key leader for Business Technology and to ensure we have the right investment in cloud hosting solutions and achieving the desired value. As Manager - Data Center you will lead the following: Implementations for infrastructure projects and continuous improvement work efforts. Ensure IT infrastructure is maintained in both physical datacenters, on-premise environments, and cloud environments to ensure operational efficiency, security, and availability.
Responsibilities
Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of server, storage, and network hardware in physical data centers and cloud environments.
Manage data center and server room physical space, rack installations, cable management, power distribution, and cooling systems to ensure efficient operation.
Manage cloud resources and services, acting as the primary subject matter expert for the cloud system to support business needs.
Select and recommend, negotiate with, and manage external vendors and service providers for infrastructure components and services.
Plan and execute projects, such as data center buildouts and cloud migrations, from conception to completion.
Participate in budget planning for infrastructure investments, managed service providers, and operating costs, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Establish, maintain, and provide weekly KPI/metrics for critical availability and performance of the infrastructure environment.
Implement robust backup methodologies, disaster recovery, and continuity planning to minimize data loss and ensure service availability.
Lead incident response, problem resolution, and change management processes for infrastructure-related issues and updates.
Ensure the implementation of strong cybersecurity measures, including knowledge of firewalls and VPNs, end-point protection, to protect infrastructure and data.
About The Pay
Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000 Annually

Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.
About You
10+ years of experience in data center program management, infrastructure, or data center development
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and tuning MS Windows server environments running on Vmware or cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Solid understanding of network architecture, virtualization, SAN, cloud computing (AWS, etc.), and server hardware.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse IT team.
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written skills to liaise with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
Experience in managing large-scale IT projects and infrastructure implementations.
Ability to stay current with rapidly changing technologies and methodologies in the IT landscape.
Proven success managing large-scale, cross-disciplinary data center or colocation projects
Hands-on engagement with emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, and high-density compute platforms
A bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is often preferred.
Certifications in ITIL is highly desirable, eg. Foundation.
