Security Surveillance Service Technician Responsibilities
Servicing, cleaning, troubleshooting, programming, and testing enterprise security systems with minimal supervision. System knowledge of IP video surveillance is preferred. Troubleshooting and programming networked IP video systems. Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems including CCTV, access control and intrusion systems. Act as the key interface for customer technical support and training to maximize satisfaction. Adhere to Federal, State and local regulations and company health and safety policies. Use troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in equipment or software. Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques and standards, and potential product improvements. Provide high-end customer service when dealing with clients, colleagues, and partners. Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school students are a plus. Basic knowledge of technology, infrastructure, and configuration. Current certification or proficiency in one of the following is highly preferred: Video: Avigilon, Axis, Exacq, Digital Watchdog, Hanwha and IPro. Desired Skills/Abilities
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience servicing IP-based video systems and networking. Experience troubleshooting and basic programming of networked IP video systems, including working on customer networks. Alternative experience such as a multi-site Network Support Specialist or similar. Solid knowledge of the internet and networking; ability to work independently and resolve problems to customer satisfaction. Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean MVR. Physical Requirements
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to scale ladders frequently. Comfortable working in outdoor environments and performing physical tasks related to maintenance. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Location
Location: San Francisco Bay area, California. Driving is required. Applicants must be comfortable commuting to Pleasanton, CA daily and to the office in Livermore, CA. Employment Type
