Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for seabed exploration. We provide a unique, ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platform with a refreshed maritime vehicle and modular manufacturing architecture that scales from large to extra-large sizes. We are executing multi-million-dollar contracts while offering Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) AUV operations. ABOUT THE JOB
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support our Undersea Reconnaissance, & Strike (URS) platforms— including Dive-LD and Copperhead. These uncrewed undersea vehicles require a Software Engineer to deliver behaviors that enable data processing, payload integration, and off-board command and control. You will own end-to-end integration to ensure all components work together to power our undersea products. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Contribute to the core behaviors library for all URS platforms Write production-quality code, primarily in Python and C++ Assist in integrating and deploying behavior features across URS platforms, collaborating with senior engineers Implement and test robotic behaviors to improve system reliability and performance Troubleshoot ambiguous issues in behavior systems Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept and design through testing and deployment Travel up to 10% of each year to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, or equivalent experience Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams Proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization Experience developing software for and testing robotic systems, either in industry or academia Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of production-grade C++ and/or Python experience in a Linux development environment Feature and algorithm development with an understanding of behavior trees Strong track record of troubleshooting ambiguous problems Knowledge of distributed communication networks and message standards Hands-on experience developing software for embedded and physical devices Experience working on autonomous underwater vehicles US Salary Range: $168,000 - $252,000 USD The salary range is an estimate based on compensation factors.
