WHO YOU ARE: As a Sr Software Engineer, you will execute the product’s vision for a modern, frictionless, scalable, API‑first, persona‑driven customer identity and access management system, delivering the best end‑to‑end Life & Annuities solution in the industry. You will partner with fellow engineers to create a reusable, predictable, and discoverable design and development framework for rapid, consistent, and maintainable customer authentication and authorization solutions. We are seeking a team player with leadership experience and a proven track record of delivering high‑quality API security solutions. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Design and implement API policies, procedures, and guidelines. Develop enterprise API solutions using an industry‑leading API platform (Kong). Mentor junior developers to ensure enterprise API solutions are implemented correctly and on time. Integrate the enterprise CIAM solution for all internal and external APIs. Collaborate with the CIAM team to extend its capability to serve clients. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field. 8+ years of software development experience using TypeScript frameworks like NestJS. Working knowledge of OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect. Experience in building industry‑standard APIs and API governance, versioning, and API APM. Experience with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3, etc.). Working knowledge of common DevOps tasks (environment provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring). Strong work ethic, ability to work and travel independently, and strategic thinking skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills; ability to influence and lead in a cross‑functional, distributed team. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. The salary range for this role is $130,000 – $150,000, with offers reviewed to ensure fair and equitable pay based on skills, education, experience, and location.
