The Engineering team is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our AI Solutions team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing robust AI-driven applications, contributing to both our product offerings and internal process enhancements. This role demands a blend of technical prowess, innovative thinking, and a commitment to quality. You’re a great fit for our team if you can balance detail-oriented tasks with long term strategy and scale initiatives. Most of all, you must be passionate about what you create and about the impact it can have. What will You Be Doing
Design, develop, and maintain AI services, focusing on high-quality, scalable, and reliable production-level code. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate AI features into products and internal tools. Prototype and iterate on solutions rapidly in Python, with a strong grasp of machine learning principles. Leverage APIs from leading LLM providers to implement RAG and agentic workflows across the enterprise Utilize machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn and PyTorch to implement and optimize algorithms. Analyze data to extract insights, inform decision-making, and measure the impact of AI solutions. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in ML/AI software development, with a proven track record of delivering production-level code. Experience delivering Python applications to production. Familiarity with basic machine learning concepts and experience in applying them using frameworks like Scikit-learn and PyTorch. Experience with ETL and data and model pipelines. Experience with Docker, AWS, and other cloud services for deploying and scaling applications. Knowledge of testing frameworks and commitment to developing reliable, well-tested code. Experience with RDBMS (Postgres preferred). Strong knowledge of AI algorithms, techniques, and technologies. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Experience in an Agile environment working with tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Jenkins. Location and Compensation
Role will be based in Vestwell’s New York or Austin office, with a hybrid schedule. Expected base salary range: $155K - $170K base. Eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Pool and to receive new hire equity. Salary bands reflect NY and similar metro areas and may differ based on final hire location. Benefits and Process
