The Select Account Manager handles higher level risk issues without direction from a Client Advisor or Producer. The AM services new and existing clients that generate, on average, generally less than $3,000 in commission or as otherwise assigned. The role provides, with a positive attitude, a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing business accounts. It ensures accuracy of data input in the automation system and performs essential functions per guidelines, procedures, quality and service standards stated by the agency. Marketing activity is required to meet service, retention and quality standards. This is a 95% in-house position that requires direct interaction with clients. Effective communication and collaboration with peers toward team goals are key components of this role. Responsibilities

Provide primarily in-house customer service to clients as assigned and requested. Receive calls and visits requesting changes to existing coverage or new policies; advise and assist clients by explaining coverage options/exclusions, making coverage recommendations, requesting policy changes, handling premium collections, and answering questions to avoid potential E&O issues. Review and collect aged receivables. Regularly review current coverage, recommend changes or new markets, and actively seek increases in coverage. Prepare proposals, schedules of insurance and recommendations for clients. Review audits with clients as needed; follow company direction and agency guidelines for disputed audits. Prepare quotes, proposals, applications, and supplemental forms for timely submission to carriers for new or renewal accounts. Discuss policy changes and coverage issues with underwriters and advocate for clients. Assist with new business calls, online quote requests & walk-ins. Participate in weekly Select Team Meetings and carrier meetings as scheduled to stay up to date on products. Initiate renewal reviews with clients and re-market as appropriate to provide optimal coverage and retention; prepare summaries of insurance to avoid potential E&O issues. Process surplus lines agency bill renewals and remarket to an admitted carrier when possible. Review renewals to determine if non-standard policies can be rewritten in a standard market; prepare rewrite applications. Remarket renewals to provide best options to the client in current market conditions. Receive, review and manage cancellations and act to save accounts as appropriate. Maintain client accounts in the agency management system, document conversations, attach documents, and respond to carrier requests promptly. Coach and mentor team members in professional development and support agency strategies. All work aims to avoid potential E&O issues; immediately notify management of any potential E&O issues. Actively pursue CE courses and achieve a designation by year three. Participate in seminars and training for knowledge and skill development. Provide backup in other areas as assigned and perform other duties and special projects as requested. Help develop efficiencies in automation and promote a paperless environment. Stay informed of trends, products, pricing and competitive markets; have working knowledge of agency and company changes. Requirements

Licensed in P&C 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial lines insurance Proficiency with MS Office Suite Proficiency with Applied Epic preferred Benefits and Perks
