Job Description Your Career As a Staff SOC Security Engineer, you will join a team defending against cyberattacks, gaining expertise in Palo Alto Networks security products such as XDR, XSIAM, Next Generation Firewalls, and Prisma Cloud. You will provide feedback to improve our security solutions. Our SOC emphasizes automation, prevention, and high-fidelity alerts, enabling proactive security measures. Your day will involve analyzing alerts, threat hunting, and contributing to projects aligned with your interests. Continuous learning is encouraged through various channels. Your Impact Monitor and analyze alerts to confirm security incidents Perform root cause analysis of true positives Lead incident response activities and coordinate responses Threat hunting across multiple platforms Improve alerting use cases and threat hunting programs Collaborate on automation projects Assess new security products Generate security reports for leadership Conduct post-mortem reviews and research security trends Qualifications Your Experience Minimum 4+ years in Security Operations Knowledge of network and endpoint security principles, attack trends, and defense strategies Experience with security Incident Response in complex environments, including EDR, Network Log Analysis, or Cloud Defense Threat hunting experience Hands-on knowledge of SIEM tools Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Familiarity with enterprise technologies like AD, Kubernetes, VMs Bachelors degree or equivalent in cybersecurity, IT, or related fields, or military experience Additional Information The Team Palo Alto Networks' Information Security team supports threat detection and incident response across enterprise and product environments. Compensation Starting at $123,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on experience and location, with potential bonuses and stock options. Benefits details are available.
