The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides IT leadership and support to meet the needs of a leading research university. Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement Information Technology system architectures, frameworks, and solutions to meet business requirements. Define system design principles, standards, and best practices to guide development and deployment. Evaluate technologies, tools, and platforms to recommend optimal designs and implementations. Conduct system assessments, architecture reviews, and performance tuning to optimize performance. Lead design workshops, technical discussions, and architectural decisions with development teams. Establish system governance, compliance, and security measures to ensure integrity and quality. Mentor and train developers, engineers, and architects on architecture principles. Stay informed about architecture trends, emerging technologies, and industry standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business objectives. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced certifications may be preferred or required. Other Required Qualifications: Overnight travel may be required for project delivery; flexibility in on-site hours due to client schedules. Required Experience: Six or more years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications: CISSP, GIAC; ServiceNow CSA, CMDB/ITSM implementations; ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4). Advanced ServiceNow experience: CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping; large-scale CMDB management (100k+ CIs). Experience in higher education, public sector, or complex enterprise environments; strong data normalization and reconciliation skills (IRE rules). Integration architecture experience with CMDB integrations to external systems (e.g., SCCM, cloud providers). Master’s degree is preferred. Salary
