Principal Air Quality Engineer/Scientist – Portland, Oregon. Join a dynamic and growing international environmental consulting organization. This role offers opportunities to advance within a principal-level position on a team focused on air quality solutions. Responsibilities

Prepare and oversee the preparation of air quality permit applications, including PSD and Title V. Review State, Federal, and Local regulations for applicability determinations and compliance tasks; monitor new regulations and potential impacts to clients. Provide compliance assistance for clients including data management, document review, and development of compliance tools. Engage with clients from a variety of industries and locations inside and outside the United States. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the region. Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with industrial clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders. Maintain relationships with existing clients and seek opportunities for business growth. Develop and present compelling proposals aligned with client needs and organizational goals. Travel to clients\' facilities for inspections and document review. Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments. Qualifications/Education/Memberships

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field required. 15+ years of hands-on related work experience. Knowledge of local and federal environmental regulations (e.g., Title V, PSD, GHG Reporting, NSPS, NESHAP, RMP). Experience with air compliance and permitting; experience with reporting programs (air emissions inventory, greenhouse gases, annual/semi-annual air permit reports, annual air compliance certifications, monthly air permit reports). Understanding of industrial operations and combustion equipment. Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and analytical skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel by airplane and car, including overnight travel. Preferred: experience with oil and gas, power generation, mining, or ports; experience with technical writing; prior consulting or industry experience.
