Overview
Summary: Drives operational efficiency and financial sustainability at MGB by analyzing complex, cross-system workflows, leveraging operational and financial data, and identifying inefficiencies to implement strategic improvements across clinical and administrative operations. The ideal candidate brings expertise in Lean methodologies, healthcare operations, engineering principles, and data-driven decision-making to support continuous improvement. Key competencies include workflow optimization, process measurement, data mining, defect mitigation, standardization, innovation, and change leadership—critical for solving complex clinical and operational challenges with unknown solutions. Responsibilities
Partner with MGB system-wide senior leadership to lead complex, high-priority initiatives, applying process engineering, improvement, change management, and project management skills. Leverage facilitation and interpersonal abilities to drive implementation, ensuring targeted savings and efficiencies across multiple projects simultaneously. Use critical thinking and high emotional IQ to independently manage high-priority, complex, system-wide initiatives that support MGB strategic priorities on a system level. Translate leadership vision into actionable initiatives with clear scope, goals, and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders to set achievable timelines with interim milestones. Mines and analyzes complex clinical, operational, patient experience and financial data sets to evaluate system-wide clinical operations performance and identify improvement opportunities. Synthesizes and benchmarks data for trends, gaps, defects, and opportunities. Develop analytic and measurement strategy for projects, including key metrics and baseline data collection. Present data in a senior-level manner to support leadership decisions and communications. Collaborate with operational and clinical leadership to facilitate meetings, engage stakeholders, and develop useful presentation materials to achieve buy-in and advance milestones and objectives. Develop strong relationships across all staff levels to leverage expertise and identify best practices to advance work. Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, process modeling/simulation, and other methodologies to enhance clinical workflows and operational efficiencies. Apply change management approaches to engage stakeholders and drive adoption. Education

Outstanding judgement and discretion when interacting with operational and clinical leaders on cultural, political, and confidential issues.
