About the Role
The Head of Computational Chemistry will lead the company’s efforts in structure-based drug design, cheminformatics, and molecular modeling. This leader will build and guide a talented team, foster cross-disciplinary collaborations, and drive strategic initiatives that directly impact the success of the discovery pipeline. Key Responsibilities
Provide scientific and strategic leadership for the Computational Chemistry function. Develop and implement computational strategies to accelerate small molecule discovery. Partner closely with medicinal chemistry, biology, and data science teams to drive program success. Oversee and mentor a growing team of computational chemists and modelers. Evaluate and integrate emerging tools, platforms, and external collaborations. Represent the function internally and externally, including at scientific meetings. Qualifications
PhD in Computational Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry, or related discipline. 8+ years of experience in drug discovery, with significant leadership responsibilities. Proven track record of applying computational methods to impact discovery programs. Deep expertise in molecular modeling, structure-based drug design, and cheminformatics. Seniority level
