Overview The Associate Director, Digital Investments is a key member of the Digital Investments team of experts responsible for delivering smart, innovative and performance driven Digital campaigns for its clients. They take the lead in identifying and selecting media partners and tactics that achieve identified strategic and tactical objectives as laid out by the Mx Planning team. They are the primary owners of the vendor relationships and are responsible for all negotiation and value creation with these vendors and for ensuring each plan is executed with excellence. The team is expected to stay at the cutting edge of Digital innovation within the industry and educate the larger brand/client teams on relevant opportunities and challenges. They also partner internally across key channel teams and analytics to ensure all plans are executed with excellence and reported out properly. Responsibilities Own client asks (set expectations, delivery of work, develop and meet timelines) for the team to deliver on key deliverables Proactively lead day-to-day work, think ahead, bring solutions, escalate as needed while coaching junior team members to help them achieve their goals Serve as connective tissue for the team across planning, analytics, and channel teams (programmatic, search, social) aligned to account voice Assist with agency POVs or projects to showcase Digital Expertise Provide overarching support and guidance to supervisor to lead day-to-day business while guiding forward-thinking and data/value-driven approaches, and leading digital tasks to ensure holistic campaign management across direct, programmatic, search and social buys Strategy and Campaign Management Use data to connect rationale to recommendations and coach the team to do the same Create slides that tell a cohesive story and are visually appropriate Identify insights and guide implications across digital campaigns in reporting and day-to-day discussions Lead digital planning to ensure plans deliver on brand goals and evolve year over year Set standards for negotiation to drive client value through negotiation, added value, and make goods Speak to a variety of digital tactics across direct, programmatic, social and search campaigns Maintain a strong understanding of the digital landscape and current trends to bring new thinking Lead and deliver on overarching digital strategy for the portfolio alongside VP/SVP Leadership/Relationships Be a trusted voice for clients and build strong relationships Run productive meetings, set and deliver on agendas, and provide high-quality client service Present clearly and answer questions both in writing and verbally Set and manage client expectations by prioritizing for the team and client Own vendor relationships as a trusted partner to media partners Ensure the team understands and supports the Agency vision and values Lead by example and foster an environment where the team can grow Key Requirements Strong problem-solving skills Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, communication and decision-making skills Demonstrates strong business acumen as an expert in the Digital space including direct programs/partnerships and all specialty fields (programmatic, social, search) 5-7 years of experience in Digital Planning and Buying and managing a team Strong understanding of syndicated tools used for planning, buying, reporting, insights and optimization of Digital Media Strong industry connections and relationship-building skills Salary information and location details are provided for context but do not entail job acceptance.
