Coordinate policies and procedures for international import/export operations and ensure cross‑department collaboration to achieve corporate goals related to international freight service. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; seven (7) years related international freight experience; U.S. Customs Brokerage license required. Expert-level knowledge of laws and regulations of the U.S. Customs Service, FCC, EPA, USDA, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, FDA, and other federal agencies. Ability to interpret the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Title 19, Code of Federal Regulations, customs enforcement techniques, U.S. Treasury decisions/rulings/directives, Customs Bulletin and Federal Register. Ability to exercise diplomacy in situations involving controversial regulatory and operational matters between the corporation, customers, federal agencies, and contract customs brokers. Knowledge of existing international regulations and how they impact policies and procedures. Preferred qualifications: strong experience with customs and regulatory compliance; ability to minimize penalty risk. Education and Experience Details
