QA Analyst
to join our Execution Management System (EMS) program for the EMS UI scrum team. We want someone who is passionate about delivering quality products to our clients and who can solve problems in a fast-paced, complex environment like financial software. As a QA Analyst, you will work with open source technologies to develop and execute automated tests at multiple levels (unit, component, integration and UI) to ensure our software functionality meets high quality standards. The EMS product is a client-server based, front-to-back office solution for investment managers, and the EMS UI team builds interfaces between the EMS and Market Data products. You will collaborate with product development and product managers to release new functionality incrementally to our clients. We work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous integration and delivery. We are seeking Engineers in Test who can bring experience to the team and explore new and efficient ways to test our products.
Roles and Responsibilities
Play a major role to improve quality, functionality, reliability and usability of software products through automation and Agile methodologies.
Analyze business requirements to develop and execute comprehensive test plans with systematic QA methodology, including performance and security testing.
Participate in continuous improvement of testing processes by analyzing bugs and assessing test coverage.
Evaluate quality risks for product changes and propose test strategies to address risks.
Autonomously write complex automation at multiple levels of the testing pyramid.
Introduce new tools, frameworks, or processes to automation for the team.
Review automation testing code for other QA/DEV team members.
Lead and train newer QA/DEV team members on automation.
Set sprint and release-level quality goals; measure, monitor, and enforce Agile and quality metrics.
Recommend design improvements through planning sessions and code reviews.
Create and expand automated regression test suites to increase coverage and improve efficiency, reliability and determinism of tests.
Assist with implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues.
Coordinate and manage client User Acceptance Testing in collaboration with Product Owners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science, or Management Information Systems.
Experience with software testing is a plus.
Automation experience at unit, API or UI level is a plus.
Experience with writing and designing test plans is a plus.
Experience with MS SQL or SQL equivalents is a plus.
Career-minded individuals who are eager for technical challenges and enjoy problem solving.
Experience with scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell is a plus.
Experience with CI tools like Jenkins or TeamCity is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with financial data.
Well-versed in software quality assurance processes and the software development lifecycle.
Ability to plan, commit, and deliver to meet deadlines.
Comfortable prioritizing and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
