Innovative, creative Executive Chef sought by a luxury hospitality and events company. This leadership role is responsible for developing the kitchen team, creating compelling and custom menus, managing all food costs, and ensuring the highest quality and presentation of food. This role requires a strong, collaborative leadership approach, high-level culinary expertise, experience in high-volume events and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Menu Development:
Designing creative and diverse menus for various events, considering client preferences, dietary restrictions, and current culinary trends. Overview of Kitchen Operations:
Overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation. Team Leadership:
Managing and motivating the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Inventory and Cost Control:
Managing food inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to stay within budget. Food Safety and Sanitation:
Ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations. Event Execution:
Working closely with event planners and other staff to ensure seamless and successful event execution. Client Interaction:
Interacting with clients to gather feedback and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service. Staying Updated:
Keeping up-to-date with culinary trends and incorporating new ideas into menus. Budget Management:
Contributing to the overall budgeting and financial planning for the kitchen operations. Required Skills and Experience
Extensive culinary experience, including experience in a high-volume catering or luxury hospitality setting Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
