Fruition Group
Responsibilities
Lead design and lifecycle support of aerospace power systems including: AC/DC conversion (270VDC architectures), DC/DC converters, and inverters. Custom magnetics (transformers, chokes, inductors). Isolated power supplies and motor drives. Leverage wide band gap (e.g., GaN, SiC) technology to improve power density and efficiency. Collaborate with systems and motor design teams to align electrical and electromechanical performance. Champion power architecture and design across analog/digital power electronics and motor control. Interface with customers and vendors on requirements, trade studies, cost, and schedule. Generate clear schematics, maintain component libraries, and ensure design traceability in Altium. Drive lab testing, validation, and root cause analysis on prototype and production hardware. Qualifications
Ideally, have a background or understanding within aerospace standards: DO-160, DO-254, MIL-STD-461/464/704/810. B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S./Ph.D. preferred) and 15+ years in power electronics. Deep expertise in aerospace power electronics, motor control, and wide band gap devices. Strong wide band gap technical knowledge (GaN, Silicon Carbide, IGBT, MOSFET) Proficient in design for manufacturability, EMI/EMC compliance, and system certification. U.S. Citizenship/ Green Card is a plus but not mandatory.
