Job Description The Director, Account Management — Strategic Partnerships will serve as the primary relationship and business lead for a select group of Visa’s fintech partnerships, focusing on digital assets, brokerage, and consumer finance. In this externally facing and strategic role, you will act as a trusted advisor, growth architect, and ambassador for Visa, responsible for developing and executing partnership strategies, championing Visa’s capabilities, and coordinating cross-functional teams to drive innovation and tangible business results. The role requires strong industry fluency, executive presence, collaborative leadership, and a passion for building deep, strategic relationships in a rapidly evolving landscape. It is intended for an experienced payments professional with account management or business development experience.
Key Responsibilities
Account Leadership & Strategy: Serve as the primary relationship lead for Tier 1 fintech partners, owning holistic account plans and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver shared objectives.
Business Development & Execution: Drive end-to-end deal processes from opportunity identification to negotiation, contracting, and execution; deliver against growth metrics.
Market Insight & Advisory: Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape; advise Visa leadership and clients on implications and opportunities.
Relationship Management: Build and nurture multi-level relationships with client executives and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support.
Product & Solutioning: Co-create and operationalize new solutions leveraging Visa’s capabilities across payments and crypto within evolving regulatory contexts.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8+ years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., MS/MBA/JD/MD), or 3+ years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
12+ years with a Bachelor's Degree or 8–10 years with an Advanced Degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
Deep expertise in the crypto, payments, fintech, or related sectors with a strong industry network.
7+ years managing complex, high-profile client relationships in payments, fintech, or digital assets.
Proven success in strategic partnerships or enterprise sales, including complex deal structuring, negotiation, and closing.
Ability to speak crypto, stablecoins, blockchain, capital markets, and brokerage domains with credibility.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and executive-level communication skills.
Experience aligning cross-functional teams to drive large initiatives; entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset; comfort with ambiguity.
International experience or mindset is a plus.
