Director, Event Production The Role and What You’ll Do

We are seeking a Director, Event Production to lead event production for one of 160over90’s key accounts and all of their experiential efforts around the FIFA World Cup 26TM. The Director will be responsible for the planning and production of live experiential marketing activations at FIFA Fan FestivalTM 2026 across multiple FIFA World Cup 26TM Host Cities. This position leads development to implementation, driving overall planning, execution and budgetary responsibility for the project. The ideal candidate must have excellent communications and organizational skills and be solutions oriented, with expert project, budget, people, and time management abilities. Proactivity, multitasking, and problem-solving skills are essential. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring a team, monitoring and maintaining project scope, task timeline, operating budget, required staff/resources, and overall quality of deliverables. Multi-lingual proficiency and previous experience with FIFA or global football is a plus. The ideal candidate must have extensive experiential marketing experience, internal team management experience, client service communication, be well organized, a self-starter, able to work with a variety of people with differing work styles, able to prioritize workload, and driven to complete the job. This position reports to the Vice President, Production. The office environment is informal but highly professional, demanding high-quality work and individual initiative. Each staff member is part of the team and must be willing to perform a wide breadth of activities. Responsibilities

Lead a team of event production professionals to deliver the best product for the client and the work group Strategically conceive, develop and implement programs that build the client brand and drive business growth Develop and maintain an effective organization through selection, training, compensation, motivation, and performance management Monitor and manage the project including creation of project plans, budgets, scope, and budget changes Manage internal and external staff on execution and delivery of all program aspects, including creative ideation, budgeting, fabrication, logistics, installations, on-site execution, permitting, and timelines Assist with recruiting, training and overall people management for coordinators, managers, contractors, and temporary staff as needed for each program Collaborate with account teams and clients to manage deliverables Proficient budgeting and tracking of multi-million dollar accounts with financial management aligned to agency standards Develop key vendor/partner relationships to deliver the best product and pricing for clients Lead large-scale live events with multiple agency, vendor, and client involvement Position yourself as a leader to support growth and development of the organization Apply best practices and learnings from previous projects to elevate performance Meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, report on key accounts, and make sound decisions Establish accountability practices within the company You Have These

Minimum 10 years of event marketing, experiential marketing, show service and team management experience Production of live events, tours, and fabrication of event elements Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent experience Motivational leadership and the ability to inspire teams to deliver top performance Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural contribution to the agency Ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships with multiple national and local vendors Experiential marketing production experience required (not focused on TV or film production) Strong internal staff management and leadership skills Strong planning and organizational skills to manage multiple programs simultaneously; Microsoft Project or similar planning tools preferred Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills grounded in agency, client, and industry knowledge Excellent verbal and written communications skills Extensive knowledge of the industry, products, services, competitors, and clients Willing and able to work nonstandard hours, weekends, and travel as required Professional appearance and strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience with planning tools for budget tracking, project timelines, logistics, event specs, meeting agendas and notes Passion for new technology, sports, entertainment and live events Travel up to 30% and touring/road experience a plus Requires lifting of boxes How we work
