Job Summary The Director - Energy Management & AI will foster the growth and profitability of the Datacenter, AI and Energy Management business while leading and mentoring the team. This role involves strategic business development, business analytics, hiring/retention, team development, and partner relationship management. The Director will be sales- and customer-facing and will collaborate with Sales Leadership and partner leadership.

Role Description

Create and maintain executive-level relationships with top partners to develop strategic partnerships.

Develop a go-to-market strategy for strategic partners around AI, sustainability, and other initiatives.

Drive growth and profitability of partners in the practice.

Grow existing partners to higher strategic relationships with Sales leaders, increasing revenue and margin.

Stay ahead of industry advances and identify potential new market disruptors.

Create annual growth plans for covered partners.

Develop and delegate business plans for managers and employees, short- and long-term.

Raise awareness of strategic partners’ programs within SHI’s sales organization; align growth plan targets and drive value-added activities.

Create and execute SHI’s joint AI initiatives and strategy with key partners and SHI teams.

Secure investment and demo gear from partners to enable SHI Lab offerings and services.

Provide training, enablement, and certification support to upskill the team in AI.

Collaborate with business units to create profitable campaigns and sales plays.

Drive revenue and profitability through execution of plans and ROI analysis.

Work with partners to establish and manage business objectives and certify completion.

Meet with Sales Executives to increase visibility and enable growth across divisions.

Partner with ITAM, Cloud, Licensing Operations, and other teams to develop operational tools for streamlined, profitable subscription and consumption-based selling.

Maximize rebates and funded head investments from partners.

Track partner growth and create ramp-up plans for key partners.

Accountability for partner budgets, spending, and ROI; participate in Partner Advisory councils.

Coordinate special projects and develop internal sales tools and collateral.

Provide strategic leadership for managers and teams to grow within current and future business models.

Consolidate SPIFF investments and rebate accruals across sales segments for partners.

Delegate projects, mentor staff, and manage time off; serve as escalation point.

Hire additional internal staff as needed.

Other Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience

10+ years in Information Technology or related area

5+ years managing partners and teams

5+ years developing and executing growth strategies

4+ years in a management position

Experience building and executing business plans and marketing objectives

Experience managing a marketing budget

Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events (up to 25%)

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000, including base salary and bonus. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending. Equal Employment Opportunity – M/F/Disability/Protected Veteran Status.
