Overview

Our client is a leading alternative investment manager with a sophisticated platform across private equity, credit, and other non-traditional asset classes. With a dynamic and growing team, the client offers a collaborative environment and the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact tax matters in the alternative investments space. The client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join its in-house finance and tax team. The ideal candidate will have 4–8 years of experience in partnership taxation, with a strong background in alternative investment fund structures. This role will be instrumental in managing tax compliance, reporting, and planning functions across the firm's investment vehicles and management company. Key Responsibilities

Manage the tax compliance process for various investment vehicles, including partnerships, funds, and SPVs, in coordination with external tax advisors. Review partnership allocations, K-1s, tax returns, and supporting workpapers. Support the preparation and review of tax provisions, quarterly estimates, and extensions. Assist in structuring new fund launches and evaluating tax implications of cross-border investments. Work closely with legal, operations, and finance teams to ensure tax-efficient fund structuring and operations. Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation (domestic and international) that could impact the client’s investment strategies or fund structures. Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives to streamline tax reporting and compliance. Assist in IRS and state/local tax audits as needed. Qualifications

4–8 years of relevant tax experience, preferably with a Big 4 or top-tier public accounting firm and/or in-house at an asset manager. Strong knowledge of partnership tax and alternative investment structures (private equity, hedge funds, real assets, etc.). CPA or Master’s in Taxation (preferred but not required). Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
