JOB TITLE: Payroll Accounting Contractor (GL Focus) LOCATION: REMOTE DURATION: 6 months PAY RANGE: $55-$75/hr Company

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Senior Corporate Accountant to support our General Ledger (GL) accounting operations related to payroll. This role will be responsible for preparing payroll journal entries, performing account reconciliations, preparing flux analysis, and supporting audit requests. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works independently, and brings a proactive mindset to problem-solving and financial rigor. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post timely and accurate payroll-related journal entries. Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of payroll-related GL accounts. Prepare flux analysis and explain key variances. Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances in payroll accounts. Support internal and external audit requests by compiling appropriate documentation. Collaborate with Payroll, HR, and Accounting teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of payroll accounting. Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing payroll accounting processes and propose improvement ideas. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience in a high-growth or fast-paced company (Must-have). 4+ year combination of corporate accounting and public accounting experiences. Strong understanding of GAAP and payroll accounting practices. Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems, e.g. NetSuite. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. CPA preferred. Benefits
