Position Overview:
The Billing Coordinator is accountable for overseeing the end-to-end client invoicing process. This role involves partnering with internal teams, including client service representatives, to ensure timely and accurate billing and revenue tracking. Key responsibilities include:
Monitor unbilled time and ensure accurate revenue tracking.
Generate invoice drafts and proformas in accordance with client billing arrangements.
Validate billing activity for compliance with pre-approved guidelines.
Prepare and submit write-up/write-down documentation for approvals.
Compile billing summaries and disbursement reports.
Issue final invoices and maintain billing records and folders.
Communicate with clients to resolve billing inquiries and collection issues.
Support engagement letter preparation in coordination with internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years of billing experience in a legal or professional services setting.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
Familiarity with legal billing systems such as Aderant is a plus.
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
