Senior Regulatory and Natural Resources Consultant

to join our Hydropower Licensing and Natural Resources team. Primary responsibilities include supporting a team of regulatory experts, scientists, and engineers in preparing hydropower licensing, permitting, and compliance documents, consulting with agency and stakeholder groups, and supporting project management activities in accordance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements. Additional duties involve managing hydropower licensing projects, organizing complex documents, coordinating deliverables, and collaborating with clients, project staff, and subcontractors. The preferred location for this position is Seattle, Boise, or Portland, but remote or hybrid arrangements will be considered based on experience. Duties and Responsibilities:

Work effectively within a team of regulatory experts, environmental scientists, and engineers on water resources projects. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, including authoring licensing documents, preparing meeting minutes, presentation materials, and supporting meetings. Identify project needs, take initiative, work independently, and implement solutions. Manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment across multiple locations. Maintain high organization and attention to detail. Serve as project manager for regulatory, environmental, and permitting projects, and lead tasks on larger projects. Assist in research and business development efforts for regulatory and natural resources teams. Collaborate effectively with water resources teams and build trust through high-quality work. Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in FERC hydropower licensing, permitting, or NEPA-related work; consulting experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Hydrology, Public/Environmental Policy, or related field. Background in fisheries, water resources, terrestrial environments, or similar is preferred. Experience managing natural resource study programs. Technical writing, document management, and administrative skills are required. Proficiency in MS Office Suite required; GIS experience is a plus. Compensation Package:

Pay Range:

$105,000 - $135,000 annually Benefits:
