Uphold and role model the company\'s principles of People, Place, and Character; ensure direct reports model our values that drive collaboration, intuition, and translocal hospitality. Be a collaborative peer and key partner with the Director of Revenue; work as a team to develop best-in-class tools and strategies to maximize revenue and RevPAR. Maximize hotel revenue through effective pricing strategies for catering, group, and space inventory, analyzing sales statistics against booked vs. consumed business, and understanding price positioning in the local market. Be the face of the hotel, attending and partnering with city groups, organizations, and key leaders; build local awareness of the hotel, outlets, and team. Lead efforts to generate excitement around the hotel opening through tours, meetings, and civic engagement. Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure representation of area hotel, restaurant, and event associations; use these platforms to build hotel awareness and connections. Report on business booked and client meetings pre-opening with HQ team and hotel leadership. Speak to market conditions and articulate strategies to GM, ownership, and HQ as needed. Approve all sales platforms prior to opening for correct data and reporting (Delphi, Tour Connections, Lanyon, Wedding Wire, HMS, Be Merri, etc.). Complete the critical path document and approve all items prior to opening. Recruit and build a strong sales team within properties to ensure the hotel\'s success. Secure new sales and catering accounts, develop and maintain relationships, and implement effective sales strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals. Negotiate with clients using creative proposals to maximize revenue and meet contractual needs. Lead and direct the sales and catering team in developing and executing the sales and marketing plan and refining revenue forecasting; provide creative strategies to drive revenue and help teams meet goals. Coach the sales team by solving problems collaboratively and ensure learning and development to grow within their roles. Craft and establish annual sales goals; manage incentive documentation to reflect market-leading performance. Develop the annual budget and sales & marketing plan with the General Manager, Director of Revenue Management, and Controller; ensure cost controls and optimal business mix and ADR goals. Build and maintain trusting relationships with stakeholders, including ownership and asset management; develop rapport with the Executive Committee. Maintain regular communication with Aparium Headquarters to ensure initiatives are executed; provide thorough reporting and forecasting to inform decisions. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by the SVP of Sales + Revenue, Corporate Director of Sales, and/or hotel General Manager. Position Requirements
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of hospitality sales experience within upscale, lifestyle or luxury sectors. Minimum of two (2) years in a Director of Sales role. Independent and boutique / lifestyle experience preferred. Delphi FDC and Lanyon knowledge preferred but not required. Bachelor\'s degree in sales, marketing, communications, or hospitality is preferred but not required if you have proven experience in a sales leadership role. Adaptable interpersonal skills to communicate with all hotel associates. Professional proficiency in English (reading, writing, verbal). How You Lead
