We are seeking a motivated Digital Senior Account Executive with an interest in financial communications to join our team in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, or Washington, DC. In this role, you will take a hands-on, strategic approach to driving digital programs and play a key role in content strategy and development, organic and paid social media execution, performance tracking against KPIs, real-time monitoring and insights generation, digital project coordination, and online community engagement. This is a highly collaborative role that offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to high-impact, integrated campaigns. Lead development of compelling, client-ready social content and manage strategic content calendars, social monitoring, and timely delivery of digital assets Own and drive assigned workstreams, anticipating needs and coordinating with Digital account leads to ensure efficiency and strategic execution Conduct social media audits, trend analysis, and performance benchmarking to generate actionable insights and inform strategic recommendations Support the development and execution of integrated digital programs across earned, owned, and paid channels—including executive visibility, social storytelling, and campaign activation Contribute to the creation of platform strategies, audience personas, and digital narratives that strengthen client positioning and engagement Use expertise in paid media, SEO, and analytics to optimize content performance and drive measurable outcomes Demonstrate fluency in digital crisis protocols, supporting account leads with real-time response planning and client-facing guidance Draft digital sections of new business proposals, clearly articulating Edelman Smithfield’s digital capabilities and strategic approach Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring alignment, accountability, and quality across all deliverables Proactively identify opportunities to grow accounts, contribute innovative ideas, and drive long-term client success Collaborate with colleagues to embody Edelman’s values through partnership, curiosity, responsiveness, and excellence Basic Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, public relations, social media, or related communications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging content across platforms Working knowledge of major social media platforms, publishing tools, and analytics dashboards (e.g., Sprinklr, Meltwater, Brandwatch, Google Analytics, Semrush, Similarweb) Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail and quality control Experience or interest in financial services, asset management, or crisis communications is a strong plus Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field—or equivalent relevant experience Compensation:
$70,000 - $85,000 a year. The final salary position will be based on factors including education, qualifications, experience, location, and performance. This range is one component of total compensation, which may include bonuses, paid time off, and region-specific benefits. Benefits and EEO:
