Job Description: Inova Schar Heart & Vascular is seeking board certified/eligible Cardiac surgeon to join an expanding nationally recognized team of 8 surgeons in a high-volume, growing multi-disciplinary practice spanning the expansive Northern Virginia Catchment area. The ideal Cardiac Surgeon will have a broad experience in adult cardiac surgery with a dedicated interest in heart and lung transplantation as well as mechanical circulatory support. Competitive new graduates completing a dedicated transplant fellowship will be considered.
Position Features: Rapidly growing cardiac and thoracic program Growing thoracic transplantation program (over 100 thoracic transplants/year) High Volume and diversity of cardiac surgery cases

Requirements: Education:
MD or DO Degree Experience
: ABS board certification in Cardiac Surgery or board eligible and a demonstrated commitment to thoracic transplant Certification/Licensure:
Current Virginia medical license and DEA, Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at all Inova Hospitals
Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of Cardiac Surgery and thoracic transplant
