APP Radiation Oncology NP or PA-C - Battle Creek, MI. Bronson Healthcare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its high-performing Radiation Oncology team. This is a hospital-employed, mainly outpatient position with M-F, 8 am to 5 pm hours and call shared equally with the other physicians in the team. Responsibilities
Collaborate with a team consisting of 3 Medical Oncologists/Hematologists, 2 Radiation Oncologists and multiple clinical staff to provide comprehensive cancer care. Deliver patient-focused care in the Radiation Oncology clinic at Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center in Battle Creek, MI. Provide clinical services under established protocols and in collaboration with physicians; participate in tumor boards and treatment planning as appropriate. Refer patients to appropriate physicians and community resources; participate in survivorship, supportive care, and palliative care activities as part of the care team. Demonstrate competency in documented nursing and medical procedures as related to cancer care and radiation therapy. Qualifications
Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Current unrestricted or pending licensure in the state of Michigan Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the specialty area of practice (if NP) and eligibility for medical staff privileges 2 years of clinical experience related to the area of practice preferred; strong communication and interpersonal skills Must maintain all requirements for medical staff privileges and operate computer/documentation systems as needed Bronson offers
