The Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Alabama Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine and USA Health is seeking an accomplished physician leader to serve as Chief of the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. The Division Chief will provide visionary leadership to a growing hospital medicine program based at USA Health Children’s and Women’s Hospital, the primary multispecialty referral center for the region. Responsibilities include oversight of a dedicated team of pediatric hospitalists, inpatient clinical care, and active participation in the education of medical students and residents. The Chief will foster a culture of collaboration, quality, and innovation, while advancing program development, patient safety, and scholarly activity. Qualified candidates should be board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine, with demonstrated leadership experience, academic accomplishment, and a commitment to excellence in clinical care and teaching. Academic rank will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic productivity.
