We are actively recruiting a talented
Access
Control Specialist
to serve as the front facing person for a mission critical program at the Washington Navy Yard. The Access Control Specialist will support the Personnel and Physical Security team by greeting all employees and visitors, professionally processing visitors via DISS, answer questions regarding Visit Access Requests (VARs) and directions within the facility while ensuring compliance with all customer and DoD processes and procedures. What You’ll Do
Greet
employees and visitors in a professional manner Ensure
that all employees and visitors are processed per all DoD, DoN and SSP policies and procedures while ensuring that valid Visit Access Requests (VAR) are on file within DISS for SSP Process
and issue employee and visitor badges in accordance with Clearance level and purpose of visit utilizing the OnGuard Lenel system Enroll
DOD issued CAC’s into the Access Control System Maintain
a positive customer experience through professional interaction, timely and efficient handling of all calls, requests, inquiries and directives Process
visitor requests; enter clearance information into the DoD DISS system Support
courier card processing and identification Submit and track
administrative documents and general administrative and clerical support Processes
employee badge requests and coordinate appointments for new/renewal badges using the Lenel Access Control System. Ensure
that the Visitor Control Desk is staffed at all times during duties hours and help to ensure all visitors and employees are assisted in a timely manner Support
additional duties as needed in support of the customer What You Bring to the Table
Associate degree or High School/GED 1+ years of experience in conducting analytical and support activities related to access control related research tasks Must have an active security clearance at the SECRET level or above (or have held an active clearance in the past 2 years) Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English Capable of taking a task with minimal instructions and exceeding expectations, with strong follow up skills and be detail oriented Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment and changing priorities within our organization. Experience using the OnGuard Lenel access control systems in relation to enrollment activities, access level programming, running of access reports/records and issuing badges Experience with DoD DISS system Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data. Ability to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to work effectively with a group or independently. An ability to escort personnel as directed Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs At JRC we offer...
