Senior Risk Analytics Solutions Specialist - Global E-Commerce Risk Control

Overview
The E-commerce Risk Control team is dedicated to protecting TikTok Shop from fraudulent activities and user abuses, ensuring a trustworthy and user-friendly marketplace for buyers, sellers, and creators. As a global team, we develop and manage foundational platforms including the risk decision engine, enforcement framework, and model & graph platforms to tackle high-throughput challenges across Global E-commerce.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage TikTok Shop’s risk monitoring and indicator systems to detect anomalies and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with business, algorithm, and product teams to design and deliver technical solutions addressing complex business risk challenges.
Conduct investigations into illicit and grey-market activities, producing high-quality risk intelligence reports and strategic insights.
Analyze U.S. market data to identify macro trends, root causes of risks, and actionable improvements to minimize exposure.
Apply advanced data analytics, statistical learning, and data mining techniques to strengthen team capabilities and drive cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Security, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in data analytics, with proficiency in SQL, Python, and relevant analytical tools/languages.
Proven track record in risk detection, analysis, and strategy development, with a strong understanding of risk control systems and methodologies.
Strong business judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Excellent cross-team communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in black/grey market risk mitigation, account security, or content safety strategy development; familiarity with e-commerce risk perception and mitigation mechanisms; demonstrated ability to bridge business and technical teams, driving initiatives from problem discovery to solution implementation.
