Overview
Platform Operations BOM Manager is responsible for end-to-end BOM management across server and rack-level platforms. Ensure BOM structures are correct, consistent, and actionable across engineering, operations, finance, and go-to-market. Drive integration of BOMs into PLM and ERP systems, manage early engineering risk buys, and partner with cross-functional teams on forecasting and demand planning for platform solutions. Key responsibilities
BOM Ownership & Structure
Create and maintain full product BOMs, including rack-level, L6, and L10 server BOMs. Ensure proper BOM hierarchy, structure, and revision control to support both engineering and manufacturing. Drive BOM accuracy and consistency across PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ERP systems.
Process & Systems Integration
Own BOM release workflows from engineering to operations, ensuring smooth handoff into ERP for procurement and build. Partner with PLM/ERP administrators to improve integration, automation, and data quality. Establish governance processes for BOM changes, ECOs, and cross-functional sign-off.
Operations & Procurement
Collaborate with supply chain and operations to manage early engineering risk buys. Track material availability, lead times, and component risk to ensure platform readiness. Partner with vendors and CM/ODM partners to resolve BOM-related issues.
Forecasting & Planning
Work with Finance and GTM teams to align demand forecasts for platform solutions. Translate engineering and customer requirements into material planning actions. Provide visibility into long-lead parts and potential material constraints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and GTM. Support NPI readiness reviews and provide executives with clear updates on BOM status and material risks.
You may be a good fit if you have (Must-have qualifications)
7+ years of experience in hardware operations, supply chain, or product configuration management, with strong focus on BOM creation and ownership. Hands-on experience managing complex server or datacenter product BOMs (rack-level preferred). Deep knowledge of PLM / ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite, Teamcenter). Strong understanding of ECO processes, revision control, and manufacturing release. Manage early engineering risk buys and material planning in high-growth hardware environments. Ability to partner effectively across engineering, operations, finance, and GTM. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus). Base Salary Compensation
$200,000 - $250,000 Full medical, dental, and vision packages, with generous premium coverage Housing subsidy of

Larger and larger training runs encourage companies to consolidate around fewer model architectures, which creates a market for single-model ASICs. We are a fully in-person team in San Jose (Santana Row), and greatly value engineering skills.
