Mercy Hospital Joplin is seeking a full-time Radiation Oncologist to join our well-established, Commission on Cancer-accredited cancer center in Joplin, Missouri. Mercy Joplin is a 240-bed hospital with an integrated cancer center focused on individualized care for cancer patients.
Mature practice treating approximately 25 patients per day.
Staff includes 1 RN, 1 prior authorization specialist, 3 RTTs (including 1 supervisor), 1 PhD physicist, 1 CMD, and the Director.
Equipment includes Elekta Versa HD, 120-leaf MLC, Hexapod robotic couch.
Systems used are Mosaiq OIS, RayStation treatment planning system, C-RAD optical surface guidance, GE 580RT large bore CT Simulator.
The Cancer Center has 4 Oncology providers and is a CoC-accredited comprehensive community cancer program.
Support staff includes Nurse Navigators, an Oncology Social Worker, and a multidisciplinary tumor board weekly.
The Radiation Oncology Department is adjacent to Oncology and the Infusion Center with onsite pharmacy.
The Cancer Center has its own dedicated parking lot.
An active research program is in place.
Teaching affiliation with Kansas City University allows medical students to rotate in the clinic with a stipend.
System-wide EPIC HER system is utilized.
Leadership opportunities are available within Mercy.
The practice includes most needed specialties, all integrated and onsite, with a diversity of cases due to the catchment area.
