We have been assigned by one of the UK's most prestigious NHS Trusts to help recruit a
Consultant in Gastroenterology
on either a
Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months
to join their successful Gastroenterology department.

The successful candidate will join a department comprising 4 consultants, 2 specialist registrars, 2 clinical fellows, and 3 specialist nurses. The department covers inflammatory bowel disease, viral hepatitis, and endoscopy, with established services including ERCP, oesophageal physiology, capsule endoscopy, and fibroscanning. Responsibilities include:
Performing high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopies.
Providing a high-standard outpatient Gastroenterology service, including patient administration.
Attending weekly multidisciplinary meetings and monthly governance meetings.
Contributing to the General Medicine educational program, including departmental meetings and teaching.
Acting as the joint educational and clinical supervisor for SpRs in Gastroenterology.
Participating actively in gastroenterology governance meetings.
