Position Overview
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking 1 Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our division, which includes 10 faculty and 4 advanced nurse practitioners. The role involves expanding our clinical and academic missions, with a focus on disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBIs). The position is a three-year fixed-term, renewable appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.
The candidate must have completed pediatric GI subspecialty training and demonstrate excellence in clinical care and teaching. Strong clinical and endoscopic skills are required. The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with the UNC Center for Functional GI & Motility Disorders.
Our hospital serves over 70,000 children annually, providing extensive inpatient and outpatient services, and is a primary teaching hospital for UNC pediatric residents. Chapel Hill offers a high quality of life, excellent schools, and beautiful scenery.
Minimum qualifications include Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology and completion of pediatric GI subspecialty training. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated clinical and teaching excellence, with a particular interest in pediatric DGBIs.
