Program Features
Inova Gastroenterology (GI) is Northern Virginia’s home for advanced diagnosis and management of diseases and conditions affecting the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, gall bladder, bile ducts, liver, pancreas, intestine, colon and rectum, and is the largest such division in the Washington, DC, metropolitan region.
Our multidisciplinary team of gastroenterology and hepatology experts includes specialists in the latest diagnostic and minimally invasive endoscopic techniques, supported by leading-edge technology from the region's top health system. Our experts are part of multidisciplinary teams from gastroenterology, oncology and surgery, providing patients with state-of-the-art options for the management of digestive disorders.
Inova Fairfax Hospital has been recognized as high performing in gastroenterology and GI surgery by U.S. News & World Report. Inova Fairfax Hospital has been nationally recognized as a National Pancreas Foundation Center of Excellence. This designation distinguishes Inova Fairfax Hospital as an institution providing the best and most innovative multidisciplinary treatment for pancreatic cancer. Inova has been recognized as a recipient of the 2023-2024 WebMD Provider Choice and Patient Choice Award for excellence in Gastroenterology in both the Northern Virginia and Washington Metro area. This award is significant, as this is the only health system recognition program based solely on the preferences of patients and providers at a local level.
Additional Requirements
Education: An MD or DO from an accredited university medical school, Completed ACGME residency training and subsequent fellowship, Board eligible or board certified Experience: ERCP and EUS experience is not required. Licensure: Current or eligibility for an unrestricted Virginia state medical license and DEA
Applicants may be considered for current and future opportunities including full time, part time and PRN positions.
