Job Title Pharmaceutical Trade Relations Sr Dir - Remote

Overview The Pharmaceutical Trade Relations Senior Director is responsible for managing Prime's Trade Relations program(s) for medical and pharmacy strategies and all related partner/customer relationships. This position is accountable for the execution of programs and solutions that drive strategic product decisions, pharmaceutical manufacturer contract decisions, and related client messaging. This position is also responsible for analyzing and enhancing contract performance, negotiations, agreement execution, training of internal teams and driving outcome value to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Partner internally with Prime teams to align strategies and negotiate with external partners; collaborate on rebate bid analysis and rebate agreement process to ensure alignment with corporate goals, performance standards and expected outcomes

Partner with the AVP Pharmaceutical Trade Relations in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and collaborate with key internal teams to create program/product value to clients, members, providers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers

Support client alignment and adoption of strategies; providing direction in messaging and pull-through of strategies with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to, Trade Client Services

Working closely with AVP Pharm Trade Relations, partner with Prime's Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), directing work related to pharmacy formulary development, market access functions of branded pharmaceutical manufacturers, and ongoing evaluation of drug therapy classes; ensures effective communication and strategic collaboration with GPO

Manage external and internal relationships necessary to position products and solutions within the market or with pharmaceutical manufacturers

Represent company objectives and perspective to external partners (i.e., pharmaceutical manufacturers, clients, marketplace, medical professionals, etc.) and communicate to ensure understanding of mutual objectives

Ensure manufacturers' products are brought forth internally to evaluate rebate and formulary opportunities for Prime's business

Serve as a department resource for escalated client issues, contract analysis, and contract language needs in rebate contracting

Represent Trade Relations on committees to identify net-cost effective policy opportunities; support client alignment and adoption of strategies; assure communication with committee members

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare management or other related field of study or equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

10 years of related work experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), pharmaceutical sales, analytical contracting or business development; also to include:

Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written presentation skills

Ability to establish rapport and build relationships at all levels within an organization

Expert negotiation and influencing skills

Strong business and financial acumen, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

MBA, other graduate work, or equivalent training and/or experience

Experience within the PBM industry, Medicaid, Medicare, and health plans

Pharmacist / Pharm D

Experience with contract language and risk mitigation concepts

Potential pay for this position ranges from $164,000.00 - $279,000.00 based on experience and skills.
